Office hours for the summer

Wednesday and Thursday:  9:00am - 3:00pm

Starting September 6th Office hours will be:

Tuesday to Thursday 10:30am to 4:00pm.

August 28: We are having a farewell Social for Pastor Linda. Following the service there will be a luncheon downstairs with Beef on a Bun, and we are asking the congregation to bring either a salad or dessert. The cost is $7.50 a plate.

Please call the office by August 25th to sign up so we know how much food to order.

There will be entertainment!

Children bring your Backpacks on the 28th 

Pastor Greg will do a blessing over them and you!

There will be a surprise to go along with the blessing, so don’t miss out!

Confirmation will be starting up again in the fall. Watch for more info.

We are in need of a Sunday School Superintendent. If you or anyone you know may be interested, please let us know.

Today, following worship, we are having a congregational meeting to vote on a call for Patricia (Patti) Sherk.

Kevin Steinley and Rev. Dr. Ali Tote will preside over the meeting.

Coffee and cookies will be served after the vote!

This week is Food Bank Week, August 7-14.

Please bring your donations to the church

this week and place in the bin.

Donations will be taken to the Salvation Army

on Monday, August 15th.

We are looking for a volunteer to take the donations that day.

Last week, our congregation voted to extend a call to Patricia (Patti) Sherk

as she considers this very important decision.

Today is the start of our Food Bank Week. Bring your nonperishable items and leave in the bin in the Narthex.

Soups – all varieties of canned, boxed and tetra packs

Juice boxes and one litre tetra packed juice – any variety

Large cans of coffee

Fruit cups and apple sauce cups

Sidekicks – rice or noodle

Hamburger Helper

Instant potatoes – mashed, scalloped, dehydrated hashbrowns

We are having a congregational meeting Sunday June 12, after the service.

The purpose of this meeting is to call Pastor Greg Kiel to St. Olaf Lutheran Church from the Southwest Lutheran Parish.

This meeting is necessary to complete the transition from the Southwest Lutheran Parish to St. Olaf and will allow St. Olaf to continue its ministry and to work to call a Second Pastor.

 

June 13-18th ELW will be doing Meals on Wheels for the SHA Louise Morris is in charge and there is a copy of the schedule in the office if you have any questions.

June 14: Funeral for Keith Spetz of Admiral SK at 2:00pm. Our sympathies to his family.
