Easter!
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter all come together to bring us the Good News of Jesus Christ!
On Maundy Thursday Jesus institutes communion and washes the disciple's feet. Showing us how to be served and how to serve.
Good Friday, Jesus is crucified and receives the worst humanity can throw at him.
Easter Sunday, Jesus rises from the dead and overcomes the forces of the world that work against God.
The Sundays of Easter follow and they include texts of Jesus' appearance to the disciples, and Jesus' ascension into heaven.
Jesus' promises of forgiveness and eternal life are made real in the resurrection. Nothing can stop them, not even death on a cross!
Christ is Risen! Christ is risen indeed!
