Advent Intergenerational Event November 30 at 9:30am we will meet in the basement to celebrate the beginning of Advent. There will be music, crafts, food and a story about Baby Jesus. Allison Laing received her white coat in a ceremony at the University of Saskatoon recently, where she is studying veterinary medicine. Check out the photo of her on our website!

The painting, pictured there, was painted as we watched by Dennis Hall when he served as resident artist at the Gratitude Expectata. He has gifted the painting to the church and it will be hung shortly!

The Swift Current High School “COMP Eats” program is looking for support with their community fridge. St Olaf is looking for baked goods, healthy snacks such as muffins to contribute to their program. Today is our “Hymn Sing” before the service! Come and request your favorite hymns to sing along to. After the service is our monthly potluck lunch, please stay and help us celebrate all the July Birthdays.
Summertime Social: Our next meet will be at 7:00pm on Tues, July 29, at St Olaf’s in the family room. You can prepare by reading the appendix from “The Language of God” written by Dr. Francis Collins.

LuMinHos: Saskatoon hospital authorities have changed their practice of recording patient religious preferences. Unless a patient declares their religious preference as Lutheran when admitted to hospital, our Hospital Chaplain, Pastor Richard Engel, will not know. Lutheran patients must clearly ask for the Lutheran Chaplain to visit them. Or families may let Pastor Engel know by phone/text at 306 229 1663 or email chaplain@luminhos.org.

Summertime Social: “The Language of God” written by Dr. Francis Collins. Our next meet will be at 7:00pm on Tues, July 15, at Pastor Patti and Jerry Sherk’s, you can prepare by reading chapters 8 & 9. For July 22 read chapters 10 & 11, location will be announced next Sunday. There are also study questions at the back of the book.
